Little Story Creator: Digital Storytelling App for Iphone

Hi! 

I will introduce you an application called ' Little Story Creator' for Iphone. It enables users to create their own little stories. It's a free application and it's very simple.

• Firstly, you can create an account for using the app. But you can also use the app without doing it. 

                                                                                                                                       

• To start, you should tap the plus at the top of the page. Then you should give a name to your story.

• And, you can choose a background. Then you can add your own photos or your own videos to the page.Or it's also possible to add stickers of the application. 

• When you choose your character, you can decorate it with these stickers. You can also draw your own lines with a brush or you can delete the lines with an eraser. 
• Now you can make your character talk. You can add title and text area to the page. And you can choose the colour of the text. 

•  When you are done with your character, now you can add your voice in your story. You can tell the story from the audio recording. I think it will make you story more enjoyable.

• You are done with your first page now. If you wish, you can add more pages or you can dublicate the page you choose. 
  
  
  

• Of course, if you didn't like the page of your story, you can delete it.

Now, you have a story of your own! Enjoy it!

"HOW TO" PROJECT

• This week, we did a ' How To' video. My partner was İrem Başarır. 
• Because we both love chocolate, our topic is about it. It tells the recipe of home-made chocolate.
• We used Windows Movie Maker to do it. We used many pictures about our topic to show our project vivid.
• It took us to do it about 5 hours, so as you see, we did lots of efforts for it.
• Adjusting the talk with the video was very difficult. Timing was important, so we recorded our sounds several times. 
• We adjusted the lenght of the pictures, titles and sounds again and again. Our laptop went crazy in this process so did we :)
• In spite of all these problems, we have eventually done with it! We hope you will apply our recipe at your home.

• I'll introduce you a website for kids to practice and learning English in a funny and enjoyable way. 

• 
  This site is created for both teachers and students.
  The designer of this site is Kisito Futonge, who's simply a language enthusiast. He's been teaching English for more than 8 years. He likes teaching and learning other languages like French, Mandarin and a couple of West African Languages.

• In this site, kids can learn English with playing games, downloading available powerpoint materials, tutorials, watching videos, printable worksheets and flashcards. For example with ' Animal Flashcards ' students can view the pictures of the animals and it can be retainable and effective for memorizing.
  
                                                                
               
  
  With the videos, for example, ' Farm Animals ' they can listen the sounds of the animals, look at the pictures and pay attention to the pronounciation. In this video lesson, there are exercises for each lesson. It provides students practicimg the lesson in enjoyable way. With worksheets, students can practice matching and filling exersices, coloring, puzzle exercises, reading, writing, vocabulary and grammer exercisez. For example, ' Hello Coloring Worksheet ' exercise can effective on account of pronounciation.

  Powerpoint exercises are also affective for learning. In the ' Birthday ' presentation for example, students can both enjoy pictures and listen the sound effects.
  
  

• I can recommend this site to you. Because its author's an experienced person and he's an enthuastic teacher. The exercises and visuals are really good and beneficial. Applications look attractive to students. And there're some other attached websites you can use for practising English. You can check them, too. This site can be useful for students to practise their English and for teacher to use the application in their lessons.

   Hi everyone! Last day, i introduced one of my favourite books, " A Thousand Splendid Suns " on wikispaces.com. I hope it will be very beneficial for you. While i was doing it, i really enjoyed. And i think that you should read this book.

SECOND PODCAST PROJECT

RAPUNZEL AND THE PRINCE

•    It's our extra podcast. I worked with İrem Başarır. This time, we wrote a chant taken from 'Rapunzel and The Prince' tale. But we ourselves composed the sentences and rhymes. 

•         We did it on vocaroo.com, again. We found a background music from youtube.com. Because it's our second work, we didn't have as much troubles as we did on our first work. But, of course, we tried many times to record it. This time we sang a song.So, it was very hard at this point. But, nevertheless, we think it will be beneficial for all. 

•       With this podcast, students can memorize the words easily. So their vocabulary will be improved. They are learning while they are having fun. And we hope it can be useful for everyone.

MY FIRST PODCAST

THE TERROR IN THE TRUCK

• It is our first podcast work. We did it from vocaroo.com. My partner was İrem Başarır. 

• Preparing it was very enjoyable and we had fun while we were recording it.Sometimes we accidentally played the effects on wrong times. So we had to rerecord it lots of times. But we think it worths that we tried hard.

• It was a horror story named 'The Terror In The Truck.' We ourselves wrote it so it was also hard to do. The characters of the story were both males so we had to speak like men. The timing was also important since we often share the dialogue.
